Jim Darling has served as in-house counsel for Carlisle since 2014. He oversees Carlisle’s relationships with outside counsel in working to close historic tax credit transactions and providing post-closing asset management services. He additionally provides advice to Carlisle regarding regulatory, real estate, and tax matters.
Prior to joining Carlisle, Mr. Darling worked in private practice. In such capacity he litigated real estate, landlord/tenant, estate administration, and Medicaid benefit cases, and provided legal advice in the areas of estate planning, special needs trusts, and Medicaid planning.
Mr. Darling received a Juris Doctor degree (Cum Laude) from St. John’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ithaca College. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
